You have the power

Solar eclipses are often regarded as omens of change since they are powerfully charged new moons. This makes them ideal times to focus on new beginnings and to make positive changes. The general feeling with eclipses, and especially solar eclipses, is one of doors opening and shutting, and that the doors which shut, tend to remain that way so there’s no going back. Bear this in mind on the 1st of August as a solar eclipse in Leo activates the heavens. The planet of lucid communication – Mercury – is joining this eclipse so what we have is the potential to see with much clearer eyes. This eclipse will perform the function of wiping slates clean, clearing out confusion and generating fresh new starts. Mercury is blessed with the ability to see beyond the veil so it could well be that during this eclipse certain truths come to light; watch for this in your own life and in the world at large.

Leo is the sign associated with royalty, leaders and celebrities so there could be some news or interesting truths that emerge surrounding these people who live in the limelight. And because the veil will be thinner at this time, we all have the chance to catch glimpses of life in other dimensions and to download valuable insights from the heavens. So this is good for anyone who receives information from the other side, or channels inspiration or creative works from the universe – artists, musicians, writers, psychics, astrologers, mediums and channels. Leo is very much a sign of creation, so this solar eclipse will be an opportune moment to consider what you would like to manifest in your world. There is no harm in having big ideas at this time. In fact, the more ambitious and creative you can be the better. But whether you wish to manifest small or large developments, take some time on the 1st to contemplate your desires and add power to them by writing them down, expressing them in a visual form or performing a candle magic ritual.

It goes without saying that this is a hugely important time for Leos, many of whom will feel that their lives are at a turning point, but for all of us, creative changes can be brought in and this is what I have focussed on for the first week of your forecasts. Also in this first week is a fiery clash between Mars and Uranus. I refer to this as the dynamite aspect. It is great for making sweeping changes, but the danger is that we act unconsciously resulting in sudden rash actions which can be quite destructive. This is especially relevant for Ariens and Aquarians who need to catch themselves before reacting to provocative situations. But we all need to be aware of feeling trapped, pressured or restricted as these feelings may give rise to sudden explosions.

Sometimes, it isn’t us that makes the changes, but fate. This is more likely to happen to people who cling to the status quo and who are afraid of making necessary changes. Under a Mars-Uranus aspect, this kind of reluctance to change can invite a bolt from the blue, and life can suddenly be turned upside down. So the best advice for the first few days of the month is to neither cling to what is safe and familiar nor to be wantonly destructive with careless or impulsive actions that leave you worse of than before. Instead, find the middle way, and be open to making changes in a calm clear constructive manner to those areas of your life which have become stagnant and which are calling for change.

No sooner have we navigated the choppy waters of an eclipse and the Mars –Uranus energies, then we sail straight in the treacherous tides of Mars and Pluto. (Mars seems to be in a provocative and aggressive mood this month, so Ariens watch out!) If Mars and Uranus equals dynamite, then Mars coupled with Pluto equates with a volcano! Here the temperature reaches boiling point and power struggles become the new danger zone. The signs that need to be particularly vigilant around the second week in August are Aries, Scorpio, Virgo and Sagittarius. Think carefully before you lock horns with another but don’t allow yourself to be a victim either. The highest potential of Mars and Pluto is powerful transformation, courage and healing, so try and aim for these in any area of your life which you feel could do with greater empowerment.

There is a strong Neptune influence at work this month which could manifest as indecision, and not being able to see the wood for the trees. The solar eclipse at the beginning of the month will do much to generate clarity, but by the time we get to the Aquarian lunar eclipse on the 16th which is joined by Neptune, we may have become confused again as to where exactly we need to be going and what we should do for the best. So the challenge is to see beyond the illusions. Perhaps there is an area in your life where you’ve allowed yourself to be less than clear sighted, resulting in others taking advantage, or kidding yourself that things will change. Sometimes we lie to ourselves about our habits, relationships, jobs and situations, or we allow ourselves to get caught in the role of the victim.

All this needs to be looked at this month, and the lunar eclipse could be very healing in this sense, bringing truth to light and enabling us to access the courage needed to change unsatisfying situations. Part of breaking through the illusions that we create for ourselves involves realising that we are far more powerful than we know and that we create our realities by the thoughts that we think and the beliefs that we hold. And in that realisation we suddenly come to see that we don’t have to carry on enduring things as they have been. We all have the power to change our lives and this is a good month to start as you mean to go on.

Also around the 16th we are blessed with an array of benevolent aspects – a sprinkling of fairy dust from the Gods, as Jupiter aligns favourably with Venus, Mercury and Saturn. This is a good time to count your blessings and feel the gratitude for all that you have. Relationships may be blessed at this time, and ideas could expand into worthwhile projects. People aiming for success, achievement and greater prosperity should find their paths lined with gold, and the signs most likely to benefit from these heavenly blessings include Virgo, Libra, Taurus, Capricorn, Sagittarius and the Geminis, whilst the 22nd looks especially good for Cancerians.

At the end of the month we are asked to do something different. It's all too easy to become a creature of habit and this can result in deadening creativity and inspiration and a feeling that life never changes. So under a Mercury-Uranus aspect this is an ideal time to look at where you have become entrenched and to break some of your habits. Try a new experience, accept invitations to which you might normally say no, contemplate a new look – either for yourself or your home. Learn a new subject, try eating something different for breakfast, get up at a different time; in short, break your routines and see how it changes your perceptions. In many therapies, people are urged to change the way they think which will then change their actions and patterns. But it can work the other way too, and by simply breaking a habit, changing a routine, or trying something new, our mindset alters and we can gain a whole new way of looking at the world.

So don’t be afraid to shake things up a bit. August is a month for thinking outside the box, daring to be different, having the courage of your convictions and being willing to close old doors and walk through new ones. It is a month of sweeping changes when the old must give way to the new. As White Eagle says; Many people waste too much time in introspection; they wonder if this is right or that is right, if this or that is wrong, so eager are they to progress. But this is a weakness which must be overcome. A few mistakes do not matter.

"Golden Indigo" Activation

A message from Archangel Michael, channeled by Celia Fenn

Beloved Lightworkers, as you enter into the month of July, you are in the process of integrating the new Light Codes that were received from the Great Central Sun at the time of the Solstice. This Golden Light of Ascended Compassionate Love enters the Earth's grids and creates a Radiance that is activating old memories and new directions in those of you who are open to receiving these waves of Golden Love from Source.

As you are surrounded by this Radiant Love, you activate ancient soul memories of Lemuria, of a time when the Paradise Codes of Love and Balance were fully activated on the Planet. A part of you recognizes this Golden energy and looks back with wonder and joy, anticipating the return of Paradise to the Planet. But, beloved souls, you cannot go backwards, for the movement of your evolution is ever towards new expressions of Divine Love. So, we can say, that while you will fullt integrate and remember the energy of Lemuria within your Being, you are also being activated by the new Light Codes to create the future "New Earth" on your "Blue Star Earth". This will be a Planetary Paradise society that will be new and exciting. It will be unlike anything that the Earth has seen before. It will be your creation and your choice as you co-create with Spirit.

At this time of Global transformation, many of you feel the stress and the strain as the old Earth grids collapse and disintegrate. There is much fear and talk of "pole shifts" and magnetic field disturbances. Beloved souls, do not be afriad. Just as the old social systems crumble and are being renewed, so are the Earth's magnetic and crystalline grids. Beloved ones, you yourselves have participated in the Meditations and Ceremonies of Light that helped to activate the new energetic grid system for the Planet. Why then, are you so afraid when the old crumbles and falls away? Do you not trust that the New Earth grids that you have helped to form and create, will sustain the integrity of the Planet? Beloved Ones, why would we, here in the Spirit Realms, have worked so intensely with you to create this new Golden Crystalline grid system if it were the plan of Spirit to allow great destruction and loss of life? We ask you to know that the Planet herself is moving into her era of Golden Peace, and she has chosen not to allow further pain, suffering and loss of life. She asks that you, as her beloved children, cease to live in fear, and know that the changes and transformations on the Planet are designed with the express purpose of activating the blueprint for a Fifth-dimensional Paradise home for all who live on the Planet. And, as this blueprint is updated from Source via the Great Central Sun and the Light Code transmissions, its new Codes will create Abundance and Light for all Earth's population.

The Golden Indigo Activation
Beloved Lightworkers, now we will speak to you of a topic that brings us much Joy. As you move towards the month of August and the opening of the Lion's Gate Portal in late July, the radiant Golden Light on the Planet increases in intensity and power. This new "surge" of Light that will enter your Earth between July and October, will be the energy that will create a powerful "awakening" in Earth's Collective population, that will be led by what we will term the "Golden Indigo" Activation.

The First and Second waves of Indigo beings who came to the Earth with the express purpose of raising Earth's frequency into the Fifth Dimension and powering the spiritual and social transformation, are now in their twenties and thirties. They are ready to become a potent force in the manifestation of the Paradise Planet that will be Heaven on Earth.

These Indigo Beings have allowed themselves to shift into the Crystal or Christed energy, and they have absorbed the Golden Light into their Light Boides and are beginning to Radiate this Light as "Shining Ones". But, these Beings, whom we will call "Golden Indigos", are not all becoming Healers and Spiritual Teachers. Many are staying within mainstream society, and it is from here that they will power the great changes that will transform society in the next cycle of Light. We ask you, in the next six months, to watch closely how the Golden Indigo energy will become a force and a factor in the life of the USA, especially in the election that lies ahead in the USA. It is the adult Indigos who are making choiced and demanding Peace and a Sustainable Future for the Planet and for their children.

And so, in this time, many of the Indigo First Waves, will feel this deep awakening, and , as a Soul Group, they will know that it is time to awaken to the choices that they came to make, and to create the Fifth Dimensional Paradise of Unconditional Love. We ask that those of you who are experienced and wise Lightworkers, that you work with these newer energies and support them and guide them, as they activate their power to bring change to the Planet. Together, you will create a New Earth.

The Energies for July 2008
The New Moon falls on the 3rd of July, and is in Cancer. Cancer is a Water sign and is ruled by the Moon, so this is a powerful time for connecting with deep inner feelings and emotions. Go deep within, into the depths of your Being, and allow yourself to integrate any feelings or emotions that may have been repressed. As you enter into your own depths, you will find a gentle love that will embrace you and hold you through these integrations as you embrace your Radiance and Light.

On the 13th of July, Venus enters into Leo, and the new Solar Divine Feminine enery begings to stream into the Planet. On the 22nd, the Sun moves into Leo as well bringing the new Solar Masculine energy, and until the 5th of August the God (Ra/Sun) and the Goddess (Isis/Sirius) will be together at the Lion's Gate. They will radiate their combined Golden Lights, Masculine and Feminine, to be received into the crystalline grids of the Planet and into the Hearts of all who are open and ready, and this will generate a wave of Golden Love that will lift the Collective Consciousness on the Planet in late July and early August.

The Full Moon will be on the 18th of July, and this will be in Capricorn/Cancer. Full Moon in Capricorn means that the Moon is in an Earth sign with the Sun in Water. The energies are gentle and stable, a marriage of the Mother (Cancer) and the Father (Capricorn), providing a balanced energy for the reception of the Solar Light that will follow. At this Full Moon, beloved ones, it would be a good time to balance your inner Masculine and Feminine energies to prepare yourselves for the incoming wave of Radiant Love in late July and early August.

And so, we wish you Power, Strength and Joy in your ongoing Journey of Co-Creation on Planet Earth.

The full moons for the next two months fall on April 20 and May 20. You can find the precise time of the moon becoming full in your own time zone by checking a local paper, a diary with moon dates and times or an almanac. The moment of full moon is considered the most magical time of the month. Of course you can use the energies around that time for magic or meditation.

The time of the full moon is calculated as the second of the full moon by purists and after that it is said to begin to wane. However in practice, its energies remain powerful for 24 hours before the full moon time and during the week after the full moon though these decrease the further from the full moon you move and the waning pull kicks in.

In cultures such as the Celts and Native North Americans each full moon was named according to the weather, the natural growth of wild plants and planted crops or the migration and breeding habits of the birds and animals and the names vary greatly among the Native North American nations according to their geographical location.

Therefore I suggest that you start naming each full moon starting in April with a significant event in your life or region, for example if in April you get out your boat or caravan for the summer or you notice certain birds suddenly appear in the garden. Sometimes a month can have a second moon, called a blue moon at the end of the month if the first full moon occurred near the beginning of that month.

When you look up at a particular full moon in the sky, notice how it makes you feel and in time you will be able to tell the subtle difference in energies between even two moons following each other. Keep a separate diary or a computer folder marked with your moon or goddess months, the distance between two full moons, as your inner or spiritual calendar as an additional measure to your conventional calendar. There will be thirteen lunar months in the calendar year and you can name them differently from year to year accordingly as to what is actually happening in nature and your life. However you will see a pattern emerging over for example five years and realise that a particular moon seems to bring a strong desire to travel or learn something new, even if its appearance varies by a week or two.

Try to spend some time out under each full moon and use the powerful changing energies, caused by the sun and moon being astrologically in opposition to make those changes you want but have been afraid to try.

Working with full moon energies

Use the full moon energies to focus on

  • Fulfilling an immediate need

  • Boosting power or courage immediately

  • Actually changing career or location

  • Protecting yourself psychically or emotionally from malice

  • Healing acute medical conditions

  • Raising a large sum of money needed urgently

  • Consummating love/conceiving a child

  • Making a permanent love commitment

  • Good luck

  • Make or break talks in a relationship that is looking shaky (risky but maybe better than uncertainty)

  • Initiating action for justice, whether through the legal system or putting right an injustice in your life that bugs you

  • Taking a major step towards fulfilling an ambition or dream

  • Asking for promotion or major job interviews

Full Moon Activities

  • Because the time around the full moon can cause restlessness, it is important to channel your natural desire for change and action to avoid irritability tipping over into bad temper or change for change’s sake. If you do discuss relationship issues set boundaries and avoid recriminations.

  • Do something decisive and positive. Send off your novel, propose to the guy or girl of your dreams, audition for a starring part on the local drama production, ask your boss for more money or suggest how your talents might be better used.

  • Use the surge of power to carry you to the crest of wave and if there is something you want to get rid of then you can use the days after the full moon that are still very potent to carry you on the tide of change

  • Go all out to clear insurmountable obstacles while the energies are unstable

  • If you want to move, put your house on the market just before the full moon. The waning moon in the days after will diminish the pull that holds the home psychologically strongly to you, that can be reflected in your unconsciously not inspiring viewers to buy it

  • If your home is already on the market use the day before and the day of the full moon for some personal advertising initiative or some personal empowerments such as the house is sold and we are on the move spoken outside your home in the full moonlight

  • Apply for necessary and realistic financial assistance on the full moon when boundaries are less rigid or to speculate or gamble. But only take chances on the day of the full moon before the good luck energies start to wane.

  • Take a chance to apply for a course or job you think is beyond you as you have a powerful cosmic tide to increase your confidence and charisma

  • Make healing moon water on the night of the full moon.

  • On the night of the full moon (it rises around sunset) set a silver coloured or clear crystal bowl outdoors where the moonlight can shine on it.

  • Half fill it with sparkling mineral water or substitute bubbling tap water.

  • Surround the bowl with pure white flowers or blossoms or small moonstones.

  • Stir the water nine times with a silver coloured paper knife in both directions to stir the energies. Ask the moon to bless the water and those who use it.

  • Leave the bowl outdoors covered with fine mesh overnight.

  • In the morning use a glass jug and filter to pour the water into small blue or frosted glass bottles that you can keep in your fridge or a cool place until the next full moon night.

  • Any that you have not used during the month pour into the ground before the moon rise on the full moon night.

  • Drink a few drops daily for a month starting on the morning after the full moon to bring men as well as women in touch with their own bodily rhythms and cycle of energy ebbs and flows.

  • Moon water helps a woman who wishes to conceive a child by helping her to get in tune with her natural cycles. It may help her body to become more receptive in cases where anxiety is blocking or making a physical problem worse (even for IVF or Artificial Insemination). Anoint your breasts and womb with the water before lovemaking which should be as spontaneous as possible for a month or two if you are following an ovulation plan or before any fertility treatment (if this is allowed under the treatment).

  • Add a few drops to a bath to attract love or a particular lover before going out on a date or on line to talk to possible partners

  • Use moon water in a soothing hot drink at night to relieve insomnia

  • Sprinkle round the bed of a child or adult who suffers bad dreams.

  • Sprinkle a little round plants that are neglected or abused, for example in a reception area of an office.

  • Add to the water of sick or pregnant animals and birds or any from a rescue centre you have adopted

Beltane or Beltaine, from 30 April to 2nd May, the beginning of the Celtic summer in the northern hemisphere or strictly 15 degrees of Taurus in the Northern Hemisphere or 15 degrees of Scorpio in the Southern hemisphere(the latter at the beginning of November).

If you live in the Southern hemisphere you will be celebrating Samhain the beginning of the Celtic winter and New Year. However you can take from Beltaine the sister festival directly across the wheel the enthusiasm and a reminder that creativity and fertility energies can be called into your life any time of the year when the need is there. Each sister festival, such as Beltaine and Samhain, carries the seeds of the other. Especially if your climate is warm in the Southern climes you can add flowers to your more solemn Samhain, Festival of the Ancestors. This forms a reminder life goes on even in winter and that the baby Sun King will be born not so many weeks ahead.

Focus of Beltaine or Beltane: Fertility whether for conceiving a child (even stronger energies than the Spring Equinox), for improvement in career, business or financial matters, for increasing commitment in love, for passion and the consummation of love, for creative inspiration, for improving health and increasing energy, for optimism and self-confidence: for abundance in every way and for generosity; good for people in their twenties and thirties and for speaking your mind honestly but with tact.

Keywords: Passion, fertility

Emphasis of festival: Fire / flowers

Energies of the season: Rising

Symbols: Fresh greenery and blossoms, especially hawthorn (indoors only on May 1), also ribbons, staffs or staves decorated with flowers and ribbons, bells, all flowers

Tree: Hawthorn\elder

Incenses, flowers and herbs: Almond, angelica, ash, cowslip, frankincense, hawthorn, lilac, bluebells, marigolds and roses for love; also any floral fragrance.

Candle colours: Dark green, scarlet and silver

Crystals: Clear crystal quartz, red tiger’s eye, Herkimer diamond, golden tiger’s eye, amber and topaz.

Festival Foods: Any roasted meat, traditional oatmeal cake cut into thirteen portions (or one piece for each person present). The person drawing a piece marked beforehand with a cross traditionally has to pay a forfeit or entertain those present with a song; also egg custard dishes, mead (fermented honey drink), any miniature delicacies said to be left by the fairies whose festival it is, elderflower and berry jams

Angel of the festival: Camael or Chamuel, Archangel of Courage, Divine Love and Justice who wears a deep red tunic with dark green armour, a halo of dark ruby flames and with rich green wings.

God and Goddess of the festival: The Green man, God of vegetation who as Jack’ of the Green, a kind of Robin Hood figure, married the Flower Goddess whom he crowned as the May Queen with garlands of flowers; also the Anglo Saxon Goddess Walpurga of spring who was Christianised as St Walpurga

The Place on the Wheel

Beltaine or Beltane is named after the Irish god of light, in whose honour fires were kindled at this time by rubbing wood together.

Sundown on May Eve heralded the signal for the Celtic Druids to kindle the great Bel-fires from nine different kinds of wood. At this time cattle were released from the winter barns and driven between twin fires to cleanse them and to invoke fertility as they were released into the fields.

Winter was finally dead as at midnight on May Eve Caillieach Bhuer, the old hag of winter, cast her staff under a holly bush and turned to stone until six months later on Halloween.

A time of great fairy activity, especially around standing stones and stone circles.

Sacred wells are very potent on May 1 both for healing and fertility.

Ways of Marking the Festival in the Modern World

  • Light your own Bel bonfire burning as many different kinds of wood as you can find. When the fire is burned though, scatter a few of the ashes to the four winds from a hilltop or open space, sending your wishes for the future with them. Bury the rest.

  • Alternatively light a huge scarlet candle embedded in sand or earth and drop dried rosemary, lavender or rose petals into the flame, asking the cosmos to send what you most need which may be different from what you think you want .

  • Trade plants with friends and save any fragrant flowers or herbs you pick or are given over the coming weeks to dry and make into pot pourri or home made incense to burn on charcoal or outdoor fires

  • Make a garland on a circle of wire or fill a vase with nine different flowers or different coloured flowers. Bloddeuwedd the Welsh maiden goddess was made on May 1 from nine different flowers to be the bride of Llew the young Welsh god of light.

  • For each flower make a wish, some that will need all your power and optimism to fulfil.

  • Rise at dawn on May morning and wash your face by adding a few drops of the morning dew (you can collect it with an eye dropper) to a bowl of water. May morning dawn is said to make you radiant and bring health and fertility.

  • Fill small baskets with garden flowers or greenery and leave them on the doorsteps of anyone who is sick or lonely to spread the abundance of the season.

  • Visit a sacred well or a small lake or pool in accordance with tradition just before sunrise and walk round it three times sunwise (clockwise), asking for healing for yourself or loved ones. Tie a ribbon to a nearby tree as a way of saying thank you to Mother Nature.

  • Run, cycle, dance, swim, roller blade or jump and stir up the energies as a way of building up your inner power. Go up hill and then freewheel down.

  • If possible go along to one of the traditional May morning celebrations in your area or invite a group of friends for a flower party and ask them all to bring along a few flowers or plants to exchange.

  • Decorate a tree or a branch from a tree with flowers, ribbons and bells and your May time symbols and spiral round it, allowing your feet to trace and amplify the energies of the earth, as if you were Maypole dancing.

Let's celebrate in May - Happy Buddha Day!

Global Spiritual Astrology in April-May 2008 - It's the Full Moon of Taurus-Scorpio, also known as The Wesak Festival!

by Robert Wilkinson

We are taught that a Full Moon represents a potentially enlightened state, where the Moon, which represents form, perfectly reflects the greater light of the Sun. It marks a time when the seed state of the New Moon begins to become fully actualized. The Full Moon of Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio is special in a major way, since for millennia it has been celebrated as emblematic of the birth and enlightenment Moon of the Buddha, said to be the first human to fully transcend suffering attaining full enlightenment, then return to the world to teach the truths he found.

The Wesak is said to be the 2nd of the "Three High Moons" of Spring, anchoring the outpouring of life into forms of awareness that can help us transcend suffering as well. This year is special, in that we have 2 Full Moons in Taurus/Scorpio.

The first one falls this Sunday at 1 degree of Taurus/Scorpio and occurs on Passover (to mix metaphors), April 20, at 3:25 am PDT, which is 6:25 am EDT, 11:25 am Greenwich Daylight Time, and assuming daylight time is observed, 1:25 pm in Istanbul, 4:55 pm in India, and 9:25 pm in Melbourne Australia.

The second Full Moon of Taurus/Scorpio falls at 30 degrees on Victoria Day, May 19, at 7:11 pm PDT, which is 10:11 pm EDT, 3:11 am May 20 Greenwich Daylight Time, with the same time differentials mentioned in the previous paragraph. Some groups around the world are celebrating on April 20, while others are celebrating in May. I plan to celebrate both days as extraordinarily special, since these two Full Moons in Taurus/Scorpio won't happen again until 2027.

An explanation of this celebration follows. Each year the Wesak Festival is celebrated at the Full Moon of Taurus-Scorpio in May. This global festival celebrates the birth, enlightenment, and teachings of the Buddha, said to be the most enlightened human ever to walk this planet. He taught the doctrine of compassion and the ways to end suffering around 500 BC, and his teachings have spread through the entire world since then. This is the largest spiritual celebration in the world, and has nothing to do with religion, since the Buddha was focused on how to live, not what to believe.

It is said that the Wesak Festival (usually the Full Moon of May, but this year is different due to the doubled influence) is when the Gautama Siddhartha, known to history as the Buddha, “opens the treasure chest” and sends out a new global energy of compassion to end suffering every year. Supposedly when He left the Earth plane, his blessing for all time was a thought-form of “Buddha Nature,” which would renew the loving-compassion on the Earth whenever it was sent forth. This is the time when it renews itself for another year.

As a friend of the site offered in a previous discussion, on a deeper, more spiritual level it is said that every Wesak the Buddha actually briefly descends from the Heavens to return to that secret valley in the Himalayas known as Shamballa. There, surrounded by the Adepts, Disciples and others, he pours out an annual blessing for all sentient beings on this planet.

He taught the 4 Noble Truths about life on Earth, and the 8 Fold Path as a way to live to end suffering for ourselves and others. While this is not the forum for an exhaustive discussion of the 4 Noble Truths and the 8-fold Path, if you haven't already seen it, (and even if you have!), please get a copy of "Little Buddha" to know more about the life of this most amazing man for the ages. His life and teachings were dedicated to shine a light on the Way beyond suffering.

Though there are many ways his teachings have been stated and interpreted, anyone who actually practices the techniques will in fact find they are lessening suffering in their lives, and finding peace in a higher way of doing their Being. To quote HH Dalai Lama, “There is one thing we can all agree on. More suffering is bad. Less suffering is good.” This is the time of the renewal of energies that can lead all of us to less suffering in our life, and maybe be of service in lessening the suffering of others we know.

I was asked to comment about the "Three High Moons" of which the Wesak Full Moon is the 2nd of the 3. The so-called "Three High Moons" of Spring relate to the teachings of the Tibetan Master D.K. Briefly, they are the three Full Moons of Spring each year when the life force reawakens, is poured out, and refined into a higher vision and understanding by the World Teacher.

The Full Moon of Aries-Libra is the awakening of Nature Herself, with life blooming everywhere there is a living process occurring. The Full Moon of Taurus-Scorpio is the Wesak, the anchoring of the awakened life force in a form of compassion that will lessen suffering for all Earth's creatures for the next year. The Full Moon of Gemini-Sagittarius is said to be the "Christfest" where the World Teacher takes the new outpouring and through multiplication and distribution, spreads the teaching in infinitely varied ways according to local conditions.

So these next days meditate, open, feel the global compassion becoming stronger and more evident, and purify your life and consciousness however you need to in order to open to the timeless truths offered long ago by the one who set the pattern for the Ages. A Happy Buddha Birthday to you all, and may you all find a form of Buddha nature which increases your wisdom and compassion throughout the next year!

For more information on the April celebrations, you can check out Lucis Trust, which is doing it globally on April 20, as are Souldout and some other organizations.

For more information on the May celebrations at Mt. Shasta and in Germany, you can go to the websites for the Mt. Shasta gathering or to Wesak Festival Deutschland.

There are other organizations celebrating one or the other, of course, so by all means celebrate whichever one that calls, or both. It's all good. Aum Mani Padme Hum!!
