The big squeeze

Squeezing ... yes, I can definitely empathise with Karen Bishop's latest Energy Alert from 'What's Up On Planet Earth'. I should have had more faith that it wouldn't just have been me feeling this way ...

Greetings! On May 5, 2000, we experienced a phenomenal planetary alignment, when the sun, the moon, and five planets all lined up in the same area of the sky. I remember this time well, as many were eagerly waiting to see what this alignment would produce, how it would feel, and what it all meant.

For me, it was quite a surprise. In my little 3D mind, I naturally assumed that all would feel glorious, that we would be catapulted to a state of heavenly bliss, and we would finally arrive somewhere incredible indeed.

Instead, I experienced feelings of great pressure and an incredible squeezing. “Is this what alignment feels like?” I wondered. “Ugh! This is none too comfortable indeed!” And what we are currently experiencing is basically the same.

We are most assuredly being squeezed. And this squeezing is designed to force out anything that is not vibrating in alignment with the higher realms. Feelings of being caught in the middle of things, being surrounded by too much energy and activity, a pushing, pushing and tightness from above and below, feeling overloaded and overwhelmed, and wondering where one might go at all for some needed relief are signs of the squeezing phenomenon. We may feel boxed in at every turn, with no apparent viable solution that feels remotely right.

If you are one who is experiencing a squeezing feeling for no apparent reason in your life, you are most likely a sensitive who easily picks up on the current energies. But know as well, that the energies can also create physical manifestations that relate….therefore creating experiences in our lives that reflect being caught in the middle of things with great pressure, with an inability to seemingly breathe.

When the planetary alignment occurred in 2000, it reminded me of a spinal cord that was totally aligned, squeezing out anything that was in between, did not fit, and which there was no longer a space for. Our angel wings blossoming for sure. Hence, the squeezing feeling. So then, this is the way it is when we reach a higher vibration or dimension. Most things that are no longer necessary, will get squeezed out or pushed out. Other manifestations of this current phenomenon?

Having things get “partially resolved,” but not completed. Not getting a total closure. Having lower vibrating aspects of ourselves hit us squarely in the face. Having to deal with things we had not yet dealt with before. Making adjustments and having to really step up to the plate. But when we are willing and ready to make any necessary adjustments, then this means that the areas that need to be squeezed out will be squeezed out, and after we adjust and make a change, letting go of much of anything that does not vibrate of the purest and highest intentions and energies, things begin to smooth out.

When we reach the higher realms we truly do have to step up to the plate. Living in community means that even if we do indeed know what our special gift and contribution is, we have to do it well. We have to be it, express it, and take responsibility for it in all ways. We need to take our contributions seriously, because if we do not, we then jeopardize the whole.

With this latest shift upward and into yet another higher vibrating space, we again begin at the bottom rung. We start over, in essence, as we have gone as far as we could where we were before, in any given spiritual hierarchy. When we graduate to a higher vibrating community, everyone is on equal turf, so to speak. There are no leaders. Each individual has a vital and important contribution to make, and each individual must then, express their gifts with the highest responsibility and commitment required. It is a far more serious situation than I would have imagined, but rightfully so. So in this regard, we will be called on the carpet and held to task, humbled, and put in our places so that we can more easily and rightfully serve and contribute where we need to. All part of the squeezing effect. Squeezing out the peripheral energies and tendrils which no longer have a place.

The higher realms of community is not about floating on a cloud, basking all day, and eating those chocolate bon bons, as perhaps I may have hoped it would be in some way! Do we get to rest yet? I have to say, I wasn’t quite prepared for these new experiences, and hesitated a bit in reporting them, as they seemed so very harsh to me. And this new residency is bringing in some other manifestations as well.

Many are being handed their perfect “job,” or responsibility. The arena that we have dreamed about, just for us, is now available to many. In this regard, we have to again be ready to step up to the plate. Are you ready to take your designated responsibility seriously? Are enough of your lower vibrating “issues” or mis-perceptions cleared away so that you can operate in the most pure form, therefore benefiting those around you the most? Have you finally reached that space where you do not take things personally?

For those who are ready to go to their next level, there will still be opportunities that will arise for adjustments and “humblings” to occur, and even opportunities to “go back” until another opportunity arrives when each individual is more poised to match their chosen arena or space of contribution to the planet and the whole.

What does all this mean? For many, the waiting is over. It is time for the torch to be handed over to the creators of the New Planet Earth. Many will thus be given a palette, just waiting for each creator’s own individual blueprint to manifest upon it. It is then that our individual dreams and visions of how things could be, can now be brought into form.

But these new creations are not easily created in the old world, as it is most assuredly crashing and deteriorating at a rapid rate. Part of our roles and responsibilities involved transmuting darkness or lower and denser vibrating energy. This is why so many of us were born into situations of abuse and suffering, with much darkness present. It was our job to transmute the energies through ourselves. And this, then, is one of our entrance tickets to the higher realms. If you are one who has diligently and consciously worked at transmuting your own darkness (which is the darkness of the whole that we readily agreed to embody), then your admission to the next hierarchy is easily granted. In essence, we have to “earn” our way to the higher realms. So then, creating our own new spaces away from the old will be our salvation.

The energies are fairly intense now. They are doing their job in pushing out the old. Navigating these continuous storms and roller coaster rides will be the norm for many months to come. It can be increasingly difficult now to maintain our center, but with the help of community and our brothers and sisters, things can ease a bit. The beauty of disaster is that it tends to bring individuals close together. There will be much more of this in times to come. No more hiding away behind closed doors…we will be navigating now toward others with similar vibration and purpose. And we will be called upon for help.

Yes, deep rumblings are now ever present, reflecting movement at the deepest levels, even though not much is manifesting right now. It may seem quiet in a strangely eerie way, but much is occurring at other levels. The seeming stillness is present to give us time to continue setting up and preparing for our settling in time in January. Much will be in order by then, as we find ourselves settled into our very new spaces … www.whatsuponplanetearth.com

The Awakening

A time comes in your life when you finally get it...when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out - ENOUGH!

Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on. And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes. This is your awakening.

You realize it's time to stop hoping and waiting for some-thing to change...or for happiness, safety and security to come galloping over the next horizon.

You come to terms with the fact that you are neither Prince Charming nor Cinderella and that in the real world there aren't always fairy tale endings (or beginnings for that matter) and that any guarantee of "happily ever after" must begin with you and in the process a sense of serenity is born of acceptance.

You awaken to the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will always love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are ... and that's OK.

They are entitled to their own views and opinions. And you learn the importance of loving and championing yourself...and in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval.

You stop complaining and blaming other people for the things they did to you (or didn't do for you) and you learn that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected.

You learn that people don't always say what they mean or mean what they say and that not everyone will always be there for you and that it's not always about you.

So, you learn to stand on your own and to take care of yourself and in the process a sense of safety and security is born of self- reliance.

You stop judging and pointing fingers and you begin to accept people as they are and to overlook their shortcomings and human frailties…and in the process a sense of peace and contentment are born of forgiveness.

You realize that much of the way you view yourself, and the world around you, is as a result of all the messages and opinions that have been ingrained into your psyche. And you begin to sift through all the junk you've been fed about how you should behave, how you should look, how much you should weigh, what you should wear, what you should do for a living, how much money you should make, what you should drive, how and where you should live, who you should marry, the importance of having and raising children, and what you owe your parents, family, and friends.

You learn to open up to new worlds and different points of view. And you begin reassessing and redefining who you are and what you really stand for.

You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to discard the doctrines and values you've outgrown, or should never have bought into to begin with and in the process you learn to go with your instincts.

You learn that it is truly in giving that we receive. And that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you stop manoeuvring through life merely as a "consumer" looking for your next fix.

You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the outdated ideals of a bygone era but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build a life.

You learn that you don't know everything, it's not your job to save the world and that you can't teach a pig to sing.

You learn to distinguish between guilt and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO.

You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that martyrs get burned at the stake.

Then you learn about love. How to love, how much to give in love, when to stop giving and when to walk away.

You learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as you would have them be.

You stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes.

And you learn that alone does not mean lonely.

You also stop working so hard at putting your feelings aside, smoothing things over and ignoring your needs.

You learn that feelings of entitlement are perfectly OK and that it is your right to want things and to ask for the things you want and that sometimes it is necessary to make demands.

You come to the realization that you deserve to be treated with love, kindness, sensitivity and respect and you won't settle for less.

And you learn that your body really is your temple. And you begin to care for it and treat it with respect. You begin to eat a balanced diet, drink more water, and take more time to exercise.

You learn that being tired fuels doubt, fear, and uncertainty and so you take more time to rest. And, just as food fuels the body, laughter fuels our soul. So you take more time to laugh and to play.

You learn that, for the most part, you get in life what you believe you deserve...and that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You learn that anything worth achieving is worth working for and that wishing for something to happen is different than working toward making it happen.

More importantly, you learn that in order to achieve success you need direction, discipline and perseverance.

You also learn that no one can do it all alone...and that it's OK to risk asking for help.

You learn the only thing you must truly fear is the greatest robber baron of all: FEAR itself.

You learn to step right into and through your fears because you know that whatever happens you can handle it and to give in to fear is to give away the right to live life on your own terms.

And you learn to fight for your life and not to squander it, living under a cloud of impending doom.

You learn that life isn't always fair, you don't always get what you think you deserve and that sometimes bad things happen to unsuspecting, good people. On these occasions you learn not to personalize things.

You learn that God isn't punishing you or failing to answer your prayers. It's just life happening.

And you learn to deal with evil in its most primal state - the ego.

You learn that negative feelings such as anger, envy and resentment must be understood and redirected or they will suffocate the life out of you and poison the universe that surrounds you.

You learn to admit when you are wrong and to build bridges instead of walls.

You learn to be thankful and to take comfort in many of the simple things we take for granted, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about: a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, a long hot shower.

Slowly, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never, ever settle for less than your heart's desire.

And you hang a wind chime outside your window so you can listen to the wind.

And you make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting, and to stay open to every wonderful possibility.

Finally, with courage in your heart and God by your side you take a stand, you take a deep breath, and you begin to design the life you want to live as best you can.

Choosing your friends ...

Have you ever come away from an evening with a particular friend and felt quite low on energy, or maybe even despondent? Surround yourself with people who have positive energies and watch the dramatic effects it has on you and your life!

* * * * *

You Are Who Your Friends Are
by Jack Canfield

It's important to acknowledge the power of positive thinking. This goes not only for yourself, but also for the people you surround yourself with.

Attitudes are catchy. Whether they're positive or negative, they're rubbing off on you. If you're around people who complain, judge, spread negative gossip, blame others, and play victim roles, chances are you do, too. (ouch!)

Who are you around most? Are they achieving their dreams or complaining about their circumstances? Do they look up to others who are go-getters and high achievers, or do they make fun of them and roll their eyes? How do they treat you?

If you're spending time with people who don't support your dreams and goals, it's seriously time to look at whom you call your friends!

Successful people surround themselves with successful people. Plain and simple. They want to be around others who're achieving goals and making things happen. They want to know their secrets and strategies for winning. They're not embarrassed to be hanging out with people who are studying for success and making good money.

You, too, need to surround youself with positive influences. Join the clubs that other successful people are in, learn what they're learning. It doesn't matter from what walk of lifeyou are coming from. Show up and transform youself into an acheiver! Success isn't just for those who have had it easy, who came from supportive homes or had expensive educations. They're are so many successful people who rose up from very poor conditions and and overcame obstacles to acheive the goals they set their sights on.

But they didn't get there by hanging out with negative energy-drainers!

Have you been limiting your success by letting yourself be influenced by other people's negative energy? Make a list of all the people you spend time with and make a note of the kind of personality they have. How many negative people are you around every day? How many people on your list are achieving their dreams, supporting yours and taking responsibility for their lives? You're better off spending time alone than with people who hold themselves back with a victim mentality.

Simply stop spending time with the negative people on your list. Join the clubs that will put you in with a positive circle of friends. Set a new standard for yourself and don't become friends with people who fall below that standard. Invite your old friends to come with you and you'll know who has potential and who to stop being around entirely.

You have to take responsibility for this area of your life. Look around you at the people you call friends. Does it make you proud? Are you selling yourself short? Or are you on the right track?

Keep successful people around you and you will be successful! Be around people who can accomplish their goals and you will accomplish yours, too! The choice is yours to make.

Soul Blossoming - Be as A Butterfly

WHY NOT LIVE AS THOUGH each moment could be our last? Then wouldn't everything that happens in time become delicate, refined, transparent; every sight and smell, every encounter become sacred? Wouldn't everything reveal itself as so fragile that our heart would open? That is what the enlightened heart is: total openness without fear to the deep-felt impermanence of life.

When we review the events of this life on the cosmic videotape, the cosmic "instant replay", we will see how unaware we often were of the true importance of things. We often wanted things so much that we didn't even notice how much quality of life we gave up and how much peace of mind we sacrificed in order to have cellular phones, televisions in every room, new cars - all the things that count for ZERO in the deeper, eternal part of ourselves.

The things that matter the most in our lives are not fantastic and grand. They are the moments when we touch one another, when we are there in the most attentive and caring way.

When we come to the end of our lives and look back, the questions we will not usually ask are, How much is in my bank account? or What did I build? or the like. The questions most likely to be asked are very simple:

Did I love well?

Did I live fully?

Did I learn to let go?

Did I learn to forgive and live from spirit of the heart instead of the spirit of judgment?

Ultimately, our true contribution to life is the love we add to the world. Everything else comes and goes. Sharing our love will happen spontaneously among us when we allow ourselves to be simple and real and to live fully in the present moment.

Emerging Butterflies

As we begin a new year, our thoughts naturally go to new beginnings and transformations. One of the best metaphors for this is the metamorphosis of the caterpillar into a butterfly.

The caterpillar encases itself and is forced into a dark small area where it cannot be distracted by anything. No longer can the sun and rain enter its world. It is alone in the darkness wrapped in what it has spun from inside. Only by facing the darkness does the caterpillar's body begin to spread out and its light, beautiful wings begin to form.

The caterpillar must shed its last attachment to the dark, cramped space it has gotten used to - a form of familiar comfort - and begin breaking through the barrier of self in which it has wrapped itself. It doesn't have a clue what lies beyond, but it responds to a higher calling anyway.

If a human helps the butterfly break through the cocoon, it will never fly. Only by finding the strength to break through the last attachment can this delicate being with a body so light and fragile, fly free.

If a caterpillar were given a choice, it might remain in its cocoon where everything is comfortable and familiar rather than coming out to be a butterfly. The caterpillar does not comprehend what it is becoming. We are in a similar predicament. We spend our time and energy trying to improve the cocoon, a little paint here, some wallpaper there, and we will have a great looking cocoon. We don't realize we are growing into something that will have the freedom to fly away in perfect bliss. Someday we will outgrow our present condition and have wings that will take us to heights we cannot imagine at the present time.

All of life is preparation for transition from one state to another, from one circumstance to another. The winds of change may come as a fierce hurricane ripping our life asunder or as a tender breeze that caresses our cheeks.

Honoring the truth of change allows our experience of darkness to be part of the greater whole. It asks the heart to be present and trust at deeper and deeper levels. It asks us to risk becoming butterflies while still in our cocoons.

Message From The Guardians: Through Laura

November 3, 2007

* * * * *

Blessings one and all...

Around and around you go and where you stop no one knows! Dear ones are you getting a bit dizzy? [Laughter]

We watch you spin around and around on your world. We see you twirl on your own center and wonder when you will stop spinning and just accept that constant change is the nature of being a Human Being!

Blessed Angels of Earth, we are not making fun of you, we are just trying to help you see the futility of your struggle to resist the changes that are happening all around you and for that matter in you. Some of you are causing yourselves much more pain and anguish than is necessary. These are indeed challenging times for all on the Planet Earth but it is not necessary to be creating even more turmoil for yourself by constantly pushing against the changing aspects of your lives. It is often very difficult to see the purpose or incredible gifts of a particular situation when you are standing knee deep in it. We would suggest that in moments of turmoil and frustration you take a few deep breathes and stand back from the situation and use your position of the "observer" to gain a better perspective on your own situation.

In this way you will be able to gain more insight into what is really going on and the benefits it will provide for you in the long run! Remember Dear Ones, you are on Earth to grow and evolve not to chase all the goals and objectives you have been taught by your parents, teachers and cultures. If you are measuring your progress by the standards you have been taught by other Humans you will always find yourself lacking and become disillusioned and depressed. Life in the physical is not about the things others would choose for you but about the choices you make for yourself. Stop comparing yourself to everyone else around you and decide what "you" really want your own life to look like. What are your dreams, your passions and your goals? Who cares if they don't match up with what your society is tell you to be and do?

You are a Human Being not a Human Doing! Stop racing around trying to be what everyone else wants you to be and start really looking at what it is you wish to BE! If those choices don't fit in with what the people around you are doing, find some people of like mind to be around or "just do your own thing".

The 60's were not that long ago for a lot of you. Do you remember what it was like to free yourself of the burden of other peoples expectations of you? There was much wisdom from that time which has been forgotten and the real tragedy is the ones that discovered the wisdom were the first ones to forget all about it. [Laughter]

Why do you think the new generations are so retro focused, wanting to emulate a lot of the styles, music and energy of the period of the 60's and early 70's? There in lies a great key to the new generation of young people emerging now. Look at the rising number of peace protests, the young turning away from traditional education systems, the defiance of authority figures and institutions. Any of this sound familiar Baby Boomers? It may be time to dig out those tie died T-Shirts again, metaphorically speaking of course. [Laughter] If that is what it takes for you to regain the energies and wisdom of that period, then by all means throw in a head band if you need to!

The 60's and early 70's were a period of experimentation when a short burst of the New Energies were sent to Earth to help initiate the changes that are going on in your world today. A powerful seed was planted that has just recently began to germinate in a profound manner, especially in the west. This will grow and encompass your whole planet, as you are now truly living in a global community.

We will tell you a well kept secret. There is a unique group of souls that were not really part of what you consider the 60"s flower children because these are the ones that were born in the early 60's just as this powerful burst of New Energy was delivered to Earth. They rode the wave in so to speak and they will have a profound affect on your world in the coming years. They are what you would consider the youngest of the Baby Boomer generation and in fact are quite different from them. They are the bridge, the linkage between that generation and the New Children that started to arrive after that. They are the forerunners of all the New Children you think of as so special. They are the guardians of this new generation and have held the door open for these children to arrive, some at great cost. They will begin taking on new roles and priorities in the next few years and their voices will be heard in new and exciting ways. Watch for them, they will now become very easy to recognize. Some are the parents of New Children and others have chosen very different roles in which to be of service but all are connected in a very special way. That is all we will share with you at this time.

We hold you close to our Heart of Hearts and ask you to do the same for each other in these challenging times.

Blessings one and all...

Avoiding your true power - afraid to meditate?

So many friends have recently confided that they have real trouble in sitting down and meditating ... instead, they get restless and start thinking about all the household chores, or worse! So today, receiving this from Daily Om, I thought that what the article says is actually quite true ...

Please enjoy ...

November 1, 2007
Avoiding Your True Power
Afraid To Meditate

There are times when we feel the pull to meditate but are swayed from it by the excuses that spring to mind. We may think that we are too busy, have no time to ourselves, or that we do not have the right place to meditate. Our minds can think of dozens of reasons to put off meditation. But those are even stronger reasons to look past the illusion of the hustle and bustle of daily life and to connect to the place within that intersects with the timeless power and limitless potential of the universe. From that place we can experience that potent stillness that exists at all times, and it is only as far as away as our breath.

It might be useful to ask yourself why you would put off something so beneficial to your peace of mind and general well-being. There may be fear that if you were to stop your frantic pace, your world might fall apart, and then you would have to face the undeniable reality of who you really are and the results of the choices you have made. You might be afraid that you will be forced to make huge changes in order to align yourself with the universe and harness your true potential. Sometimes the frustrations of the known world seem less scary than the possibilities of the unknown. But the truth is that when we cooperate with the universe by creating our lives from the truth of our being, life becomes less of a struggle and more of a process of living blissfully on purpose.

Finding yourself alone for a few moments can give you the opportunity to turn within to infuse a sense of calm wisdom to your work. Whenever you can take the time to recenter and refocus, it will remind you how beneficial it is to connect to your source. Then you will make the time for longer sojourns of spirit, because once you are rejuvenated and enlivened by knowing that you are made of energy and light, you can channel the power to create your life in alignment with the highest potential of your soul.
